WASHINGTON -- A critical document from President Barack Obama's free trade negotiations with eight Pacific nations was leaked online early Wednesday morning, revealing that the administration intends to bestow radical new political powers upon multinational corporations, contradicting prior promises.

The above is a damning article no matter your political persuasion. Sure, politicians are beholden to special interests. That has been the case since the dawn of time. Nothing new there. But politicians are also beholden to their constituents. The American Presidency has become more and more a Corporate Directorship. It's amazing to me how these individuals can believe that their actions will never come to light. Perhaps they don't care. Perhaps they are all psychopaths and don't even know what caring is. 3 years of dissapointment is quite enuf for a lot of people. The Hope and Change promised by Obama seems to be further in the direction of the Corporatocracy and the New World Order rather than representation for the people by real people, or people who truly care about and have empathy for others.

President Barack Obama is rapidly losing support among African-American voters in North Carolina, a new poll out today from the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling shows.
The poll finds that Mitt Romney would get 20 percent of the African-American vote if the election were held today, compared with 76 percent for Obama. Overall, Romney has a 48 percent to 46 percent lead on Obama in the crucial swing state.
Obama received 95 percent of the support from African-Americans in North Carolina in the 2008 election, compared with just 5 percent for Republican nominee John McCain.

This is a surprise to me only because it has taken so long to occur. Obama being black was a great milestone for America to pass if only because it proves that it is possible. But it has had very little positive effect upon the lived reality of most African-Americans. In fact, it can be said that the opposite has occurred as things have progressively gotten worse for black folks, not better. It can be said that has been the case for Americans in general but there have been attacks against gains made by blacks since the Civil Rights era as well as general attacks made against the progressive agenda that has been in place in the States ever since Roosevelt and the Great Depression.

Something has to give. And soon.

Storm clouds gather over Obama

WASHINGTON, D.C. - For President Barack Obama, this could be a long summer.

His approval rating has dipped to 47%, its lowest since January, and a seven-point lead he enjoyed over his Republican rival Mitt Romney last month has vanished, according to a new poll.
The new survey by Ipsos/Reuters also suggest Americans have more faith in Romney than Obama -- 46% to 43% -- to right the listing U.S. economy and create more jobs, leaving big shot Democrats close to former President Bill Clinton urging Obama's re-election team to get a new message.
And last month, Romney bested him in fundraising by $17 million.
The survey, released late Tuesday, found Obama's approval rating had dropped three points since last month. Among crucial independent voters his approval rating is 35%, down from 48% last month.
And a whopping 63% of Americans think the U.S. is on the wrong track, up six points from May.
Obama's dip in approval numbers comes on the heels of abysmal job numbers last month when less than half of the 150,000 new jobs expected were actually created and the unemployment rate bumped back up to 8.2%.
There's also new evidence to suggest the net worth of American households has plunged 40%, back to 1992 levels -- $126,000 in 2007 to $77,000 in 2010.
President Obama, though, has been trumpeting the economy is recovering. In a gaffe last week, he even said -- and later recanted -- that the private sector was doing "fine."
During a marathon lineup of six fundraisers Tuesday, Obama told supporters that while he's not "perfect," and the economy's troubles won't be fixed "overnight," he's still better than Romney to lead the U.S. to economic greatness again.

Wow. It's not like everyone did not see this coming. It kind of makes me remember when everybody was talking about Obama getting the worst job in the world and getting blamed for the problems of the world. John McCain could have had the job. Then everybody would have blamed him. Made him look like the one who caused it all. Or the one who is responsible for not fixing it. But I have a few questions.

How is Obama supposed to change Corporate culture?

How is Obama supposed to end greed?

How is Obama supposed to change the nature of our society's institutional prejudices?

How is Obama supposed to end poverty? Hunger? Inequity?

People still treat him as if he is The One even as they excoriate him and castigate him and drag him through the mud. They treat him as if he was supposed to solve the problems of America and the world in 4 years. As if he was actually able to do so.

Now they're calling him the Anti-Christ. They're comparing him to Hitler. He's being denigrated as bad if not worse than Bush was during the heyday of his public humiliation.

To think that this was not understood to be the case given the state of the world today when he came into office is to not understand the nature of the world.

I have no interest in propping Obama up or even defending him. He is the American President before he is anything else.

That means what it has always meant. That the man Obama was before he took office is gone. That the allegiances Obama might have had before he took office are dead. That the dreams Obama might have had before he took office have dissipated into the wind.

He now represents the country. Its figurehead. Its manifest person-hood. He is its Corporate Sole. That means he represents its interests in the context of greater world powers and the hidden hand of the controller interests behind the curtain. Pay no attention to them, whenever you see signs of their handiwork.

At least, that is the way people are treating the national and global political arena these days. s if it is Obama making these decisions.

Right.
